From a young age, I have believed that medicine is not just a career—it is a calling. My fascination with how the human body functions, combined with a deep desire to help others, led me to pursue the field of medicine. It was never a decision made on impulse, but rather one born from witnessing suffering and wanting to bring relief, comfort, and healing.

I chose to study medicine because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. One experience that solidified this path for me was seeing a close family member fall severely ill. The lack of proper medical care and limited resources created a sense of helplessness I could not forget. From that moment, I promised myself that I would work hard to become the kind of doctor who can offer care, hope, and support to people in their most vulnerable moments.

However, my journey in medical school has not been without hardship. The financial burden of studying medicine has been a constant challenge. With the cost of tuition, books, medical instruments, and transportation to clinical training sites, it has often felt like an uphill battle. I’ve had to balance my studies with part-time work and manage the stress that comes with both. There were times when I wondered if I could continue, but the fire inside me—the dream to become a doctor—never went out.

Receiving financial support at this stage in my life would mean more than just covering expenses. It would mean peace of mind. It would allow me to focus entirely on my studies and practical training without the distraction and worry of how I’ll make ends meet. Most importantly, it would be a vote of confidence in my potential—a reminder that someone believes in my dream and is willing to invest in it.

I don’t see this support as a gift only to me. I see it as something much bigger. By helping me, you are indirectly helping the countless patients I will one day serve. I am committed to using this opportunity to grow not just as a student, but as a future physician who is competent, compassionate, and ready to give back to the community.

One of the most motivational moments I’ve experienced was during a hospital training session when a critically ill patient recovered and, with a faint smile, said to us: “You give people hope.” That moment reinforced everything I believe in. It reminded me why I chose this path, and why I must keep going—no matter how difficult it gets.
