Let them know they are not alone.

As a private foundation and 501(c)(3) organization, the Association for the Relief of Aged Women is deeply honored whenever someone chooses to support our mission to "furnish financial assistance, provide friendship, and promote the welfare and relief of low-income elderly women" in the Greater New Bedford community with a financial contribution.

Since 1866, the ARAW has steadfastly provided financial assistance, friendship and advocacy for low-income, elderly women in the Greater New Bedford community. While our mission remains unchanged, the world around us continues to evolve - and we have evolved with it. Times are especially tough for so many of our ARAW friends. The need for support - just to get by - grow every day.

For much of our history, the work of ARAW has taken place quietly, behind the scenes. That’s why it is especially meaningful when a member of our community chooses to recognize the impact of our efforts. Such recognition not only honors the women we serve, it brings greater awareness to the vital work that continues each day.

It is through the generosity of friends like you, that we are able to grow our direct support to aging women and invest in community partners that respond to the complex challenges our beneficiaries face today.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the ARAW, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at [email protected] or (508) 717-0400.

On behalf of all our beneficiaries, thank you.

Best wishes,

Clare Healy Foley
