The Olathe Public Library Foundation is pleased to host author and comedian Taylor Kay Phillips at the Indian Creek Library on Saturday, September 26 at 6 pm. Tickets are $75 and include dinner catered by the Olathe Public Schools Culinary Arts Academy. Funds raised from this event provide grants for new equipment and programs for the Olathe Public Library.

Taylor Kay Phillips is an Emmy and Peabody Award winning writer and comedian. She is a staff writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO and author of the humor book A Guide to Midwestern Conversation. Her work has been featured in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, McSweeney’s and The Kansas City Star, among others. Taylor will be speaking about the inherent (and beautiful!) humor of libraries.

Rainy Day Books, a local independent book seller, will have the author’s books available for sale at the event. Taylor will be available to autograph the books after the program.
