WHY ARE WE GATHERING:
The ongoing pandemic has taken so much from us. Whether it's our health, people we love, or any sembelance of hope that things will change for the better (especially for the chronically ill/vulnerable). All of these feelings and senses of loss are completely normal; especially as we continue to see the world try to force going back to a normal that just isn't there anymore.
This space will be specifically geared towards creating an affinity & peer support space for transgender, nonbinary, 2Spirit, and other genderless/genderFULL folks. This space is for folks to share their feels and hopefully make some connections with others in the space for validation and solidarity. Folks can engage as much or as little as they want. Even if you want to keep your camera off and just listen, that's okay! There may be some small breakout groups, but you also don't have to engage if you'd like to just be present. More than anything, we just want folks to be in the space and have their frustrations and hurt be seen and validated.
REGISTRATION INFO:
Event takes place on Thursday, April 18th 7-830 pm eastern. Tickets are on sliding scale starting at $5 up to $50. There are 10 free tickets for Black/Indigenous trans, 2-spirit, and nonbinary folks, those with no/low-income given priority. E-mail [email protected] to claim the tickets, or to be put on a waiting list should all free tickets be claimed.
If you have capacity to pay on the higher end of the sliding scale, it would be appreciated because this allows us to keep our services low cost or free for marginalized folks! Especially for low income Black & Brown community who are chronically ill, disabled, and/or lgbtq. We appreciate you helping us to combat the violence of financial instability that capitalism causes on so many!
Zoom links for the grief space will be sent 2 hours before the event. If you have any questions before the gathering please email [email protected]
PLEASE NOTE: This session will not be recorded as it is a peer support affinity space and is not a workshop.
