Seven months...Michael only has seven months left until he turns 21 years old and officially "ages out" of the education system that has supported his needs since he was three years old. I think for most parents of a special needs child this could be the most frightening time in our lives. No more school-based programming, no more safety net...no more "knowns" - a whole world of "unknowns" ahead of us.

But considering this is such a huge, scary transition time in Michael's life, our family is not as frightened as we could be - and that is because of New Concepts for Living (NCFL). NCFL's Achievement Day Program is Michael's next step to leading a fulfilling and FUN-filled life. From field trips, baseball games, yoga, karaoke, life skills, dance classes, volunteer opportunities and incredible celebrations for the whole family to enjoy, Michael's future is looking bright.
