Hi! My name is Henry, and this summer, I've been selected to return as a student at LSM, the nation's premier faith-based music academy for high school students held on the campus of Valparaiso University.

Music has always been a big part of my life. I've decided to pursue music in college and have committed to Duquesne University for this Fall. Attending LSM last summer surrounded me with musical learning – from singing to playing trumpet to music theory - and helped me make the choice to pursue music!

At LSM, I know I will continue to grow as a singer, a trumpeter, and a child of God. I'm excited to continue my musical journey thus summer as I prepare to go to college.

I am very proud of my musical accomplishments as a singer and trumpeter. I earned a Perfect (100) Score on NYSSMA in 2023, meant I was selected for All-State Choir this year, have sung in my church high school choir for four years, and I’m continuing to sing as a Choral Scholar for St Joe’s parish choir. In school, I've sung in Concert Choir, Select Choir, and played trumpet in Concert Band, Jazz, and Marching Bands. I also have sung in school theatre productions including The Music Man (Ewart), Into the Woods (Baker), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), and, most recently, Annie (Warbucks). I'll also be appearing as Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods at Random Farms Theater this spring.

I am fundraising to defray the cost of attending this summer. Your support will motivate me to work hard for the four weeks I’m at the music intensive. The cost of the four-week LSM program is $2,495. LSM offers a 50% Match Grant (up to $500) to funds that students raise toward their tuition costs. The due date for the match is May 15. I'm getting started late as it took me longer to decide how to balance life and LSM before heading off to college.

I'm hoping to raise at least $1,000 by May 15 to meet the full LSM Match Grant.

In addition to advanced musical instruction and numerous performance opportunities, LSM students form an intentional community, living together for four weeks on a college campus.
