Ayishia's Story

Dear Friends, Family, and Community Members,

My name is Deyshia Williams, and I am reaching out on behalf of my sister, Ayishia Williams, who has devoted her life to protecting and serving our community. Ayishia served as a State Corrections Officer at Garden State Correctional Facility for seven years, and she now proudly serves as a Camden City Firefighter — standing on the front lines every day to keep others safe.

Recently, our family received devastating news: Ayishia has been diagnosed with Stage 2 cervical cancer. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has brought immense emotional, physical, and financial challenges. We are reaching out during this difficult time to ask for your support.

Ayishia’s journey began in late 2024, when she started experiencing persistent pain that was initially misdiagnosed as a simple cyst. It wasn’t until early 2025, after seeking a second opinion, that we received the heartbreaking confirmation: cervical cancer.

Ayishia is a loving mother, a devoted sister, a loyal friend, and a tireless public servant who has spent years serving and protecting others. Now, she needs the support of the very community she has given so much to.
