The Harbor Center
...where generations connect, learn, celebrate and thrive!
Born out of the community’s long-standing need for a dedicated senior center, the Harbor Campus has evolved into a shared vision:
A place that serves our seniors, strengthens our families, celebrates our culture, provides opportunities for community connection, and protects our environment.
This $14 million community-driven project will create a vibrant campus where generations connect, learn, and thrive — that includes a dedicated senior center, event center, environmental learning center, and a 9-acre conservation area.
The 13+ acre parcel located at Pt. Fosdick & 36th will be transformed into a next-generation community hub that unites three urgently needed facilities:
- Senior Center – the first permanent dedicated gathering place for the city’s rapidly growing older-adult population (over 30% of residents are 60+), offering programs that support health, fitness, social connection, and lifelong learning.
- Event Center – a flexible venue with a commercial kitchen capable of hosting up to 300 guests, finally giving the wider Peninsula’s 70,000+ residents a modern space for celebrations, meetings, and cultural activities.
- Environmental Learning Center – classrooms, trails, and 9 acres of permanently protected habitat that adjoin 209 acres of lands (principally forested), creating direct hands-on opportunities for stewardship and conservation education.
The project will move forward in three key phases — each one building upon the last to bring this once-in-a-generation vision to life. Together, we have the power to create a lasting legacy!.
This is our moment to come together and build something truly extraordinary for today and for generations to come!
