Our sweet senior Harriet is in need of monthly injections at the vet to control her painful arthritis. If you have met Harriet and are a fan you know that this old girl is young at heart. The Librella injection is life changing for her and the cost of the office visit and the injection are $110 every month.

She also needs monthly ear care to control a case of cauliflower ear, which if you're not familar with it, is extremely painful. A quick online search says that Cauliflower ear in dogs, or aural hematoma, occurs when blood vessels in the ear flap rupture, creating a swollen, fluid-filled pouch often caused by intense head shaking or scratching. While not life-threatening, it is painful and requires veterinary care (draining or surgery) to prevent permanent, crinkled, or thickened cartilage deformity. The flush needed to control her ear pain is $40 each month.
