Our cow gals and round bales is a love story like any other, but it ends in a 24/7 happy dance party.

All 3 cow gals are from 3 different situations where they were alone. They were united here in sanctuary to form the most unique happy little herd. Maxime and Marge the yak were first given round bales in Winter 2023. The love started out with some curious trepidation but after they realized what round bales were…they fell deep into love.

The cow gals literally jump for joy when a round bale arrives. They know what they are and want to get the party started.

Round bales are 500 lbs of hay rolled into a large ball. Maxime is 2000 lbs and loves to push this ball around. Molly likes to toss the hay high into the air and on her back. Marge just loves eating and lying in it. The bales provide food and stimulation for them. We give them when there is no longer any forage, meaning there is not much going on. Life can be boring but…not if you have a round bale!

We would love to give them 14 round bales over the course of the Fall, Winter and Spring. This will provide a treat for the cows about every 2 weeks!

1 round bale costs $80. Any amount of donation is a huge help!

What are the benefits of sponsorship?

A Welcome Packet will be mailed to the recipient. This includes a sponsorship certificate personalized to the recipient, letter about your animal, and stickers
You will receive seasonal updates on your animal (4 times a year!) and if something interesting is going on via email. Only those involved with sponsorship will receive the one of a kind messages and behind the scenes content about their furry or hairy companion.
This can be a great gift for your friends and family! You can give and personalize the message to whomever you choose. We will even mail and email it to them directly.

You get additional perks for being a sponsor. These include:

First dibs on registering for all of our events. You have an opportunity to register 1 week early before the public. This ensures you can reserve your spot because our events usually have a capacity limitation.
Priority booking for farm visits and donkey treks: Once we open for the season in Spring, you will have 2 weeks to pre-register for these experiences before the general public. We will also try our best to accommodate you for visits whenever you chose.
