The Sleeping Bag Story

In preparing for replenishing supplies for the next Serve Day, we came across an ad in the Walmart Homeless section advertising sleeping bags. We're able to purchase 10 Zero Degree rated bags for every $117 donated.

It seemed logical for the Shower Ministry to consider given the fact we were already giving out blankets, toboggans, gloves and jackets. So we made a decision to issue a public plea via FaceBook. Just a couple of takers however that means that 24 persons will have 0 degree rated sleeping bag! We thank God for supporters for the Shower Ministry - it is all about serving Him by helping our homeless friends on the street! And yes, they are friends as we have begun to learn their names!
