Update 12/15/2025: Dorothy is healing nicely and shows some vision. We are monitoring her progress as her third eye is still not retracting. She may need follow up care but we are waiting to see how this surgery helps it. Thanks to a wonderful animal hospital, we were able to lower the cost of her surgery which is reflected in the updated , lower, goal. Thank you for your kind following of Dorothy.

Little Dorothy had a challenging start in life. Her precious eyes were constantly battling chronic infections and watery episodes, a result of a birth condition as a kind vet explained.

She needed tender care with three gentle eyewashes a day just to catch a glimpse of the world around her. It was evident that her eyesight needed special attention. Over time, it became more difficult as the lower lid of her eyes began to curl under, causing her third eyelid to obscure her view.

However, hope shines through as we found a compassionate vet who might be able to help restore some of her delicate eyesight.

We kindly invite anyone touched by her story to contribute in any way they can, be it through donations or by sharing this message with others.

Our mission is to ensure she experiences a life free from pain, discovers the beauty the world offers, and ultimately finds a loving forever home where she can truly belong.

If we achieve our goal for the cost of the surgery, any extra funds will be donated towards Dorothy’s friend Vinny, who also requires dental surgery to relieve Pain and discomfort.
