The slowest of races, for the most rad of bike shares :) Slowest recorded time wins a **LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP** to Heartland Bike Share (HBS). Additional prizes will be on hand too! But we know you probably have a few questions for us, like: What is a slow race? Just like it sounds - the slowest rider wins. You'll record your time individually on our 40-foot long track, so don't worry about a big crowd getting in your way. What's allowed: forward momentum, staying between the course lines, your general awesomeness. What's not allowed: putting your foot down, riding/rocking backwards, breaking of the space time continuum. How does this work? We'll set you up with a CLASSIC HBS bike to record your time. An HBS team member will record your slowest time on the course and post it to the 'slow' board. Winner will be announced the following day! Each $20 entry donation gets you 2 rolls down the track. $5 for any additional attempts. For those of you fueled by the fire of competition, we'll have a few bikes you can practice on before setting your times. Sounds like I'm going to work up an appetite... can you help me? Absolutely! Nomadic Jack's (Winner of the Omaha Burger Battle) will be dishing up burgers all day, and Astute Coffee selling coffee pour-overs from 12-3pm - other goodies to be announced soon. All proceeds from food and beverage sales will go toward supporting HBS, so come hungry! Where is it? Heartland Bike Share Headquarters (HBS HQ), 1144 N. 11th St., Omaha NE 68102. We will have a temporary bike share station set-up at headquarters, so we encourage you to bike share to the starting line if you can! When do I record my time? Arrive to HBS HQ anytime between 12 - 6pm on April 16th. Remember times are recorded individually, so swing by whenever works best for you.
