,Dear HCS Parents,

While teachers deserve gratitude all year long, teacher appreciation week serves as a special opportunity to honor the HCS Teachers and Staff. As a community, let’s celebrate their hard work and dedication to the education and growth of our children. A fund has been established by the Friends of HCS for families to contribute to a Teacher Appreciation collection. Your contribution will help to provide breakfast for the staff to kick off the week, along with a catered lunch one afternoon. Remaining funds will be divided equally to ensure that the entire staff is recognized equally with a monetary gift to recognize everyone’s dedication to HCS.

We hope you’ll consider contributing!

(Suggested Donation: $25 per Student)

Additional plans to show our gratitude include the following:

Sunday, 5/5: 6th and 7th Grade Classes to chalk the outside sidewalk with messages of gratitude

Monday, 5/6: Breakfast for the staff & HCS Spirit Wear day (wear red if you don’t have any HCS gear!)

Tuesday, 5/7: Send a letter of gratitude – please email a teacher a thank you note or send a hand written card!

Wednesday, 5/8: A is for Apple – bring your favorite teacher an apple as a delicious token of appreciation for their hard work

Thursday, 5/9: Catered lunch for the entire HCS Staff

Friday, 5/10: Gift card distribution
