Join Stonewall Democrats of South Central Indiana this Valentine's Day for an evening of entertainment, skating, and support for LGBTQ+ causes at Western Skateland in Bloomington! Come on out between 7 and 10pm on Tuesday, February 14th, to catch talented performers,  to get out on the rink, or just to meet and mingle with folks and show your support. 

This event features:

• Comedian Kristen Lucas, winner of the 2019 and 2017 Funniest Person in Bloomington title at the Comedy Attic's annual Comedy Festival
• A musical theatre act by Tom and Robert Ping-Slater
• Plus former Bullwinkle's DJ Wayne Shepherd providing music all night!

Skate rentals are included with your ticket. (You are not required to skate if you attend, as there will be plenty of entertainment!)

Tickets are $20 (adult), $10 (student). Children 13 and under are free but all children must be accompanied by an adult (who must have a ticket). Discounted memberships are also available with your tickets.

Supporting LGBTQ+ causes politically is vitally important right now, as a record number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills have already been filed at the statehouse this year, and the progress we have seen over the last decade has been met with a powerful backlash. From forcing teachers to out students, to denying trans people proper healthcare access, these attacks seek to build on other harmful legislation Republican lawmakers passed last year. 

Stonewall Democrats of South Central Indiana works to recruit, support, and elect LGBTQ+ candidates and allies to run for office, as the most powerful thing we can do to stop this attack on our rights is to put advocates like these in office. SD-SCI also organizes and participates in advocacy around issues being considered by elected officials and . Any funds raised go towards advocacy efforts and supporting candidates.
