We know that the life of a comedian is unpredictable. But healthcare for a comedian doesn’t have to be.

Comedy Gives Back is thrilled to announce the launch of a new program to support the health and well being of comedians and the comedy community. Comedy Gives Back HealthNet. This program is available not only for comedians but for the entire comedy community, including comedy club staff, independent managers, sketch & improv performers, comedy writers, etc.

Comedy Gives Back is the safety net for the comedy community and we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new program to support the health and well being of comedians and our comedy community. That means you!

Comedy Gives Back HealthNet is an online portal that provides access to low-cost and transparent pricing for prescriptions, specialists, urgent care & ER visits. It also grants access to virtual mental health therapy and self-led addiction recovery treatment.

While Comedy Gives Back HealthNet is NOT meant to act as health insurance, it was created with detailed input from stand-up comedians to meet comedians where they are, whether on the road or at home. From the smallest of issues to the largest, comedians can now be assured they have somewhere to turn when they have health problems. And we need your help to introduce the program.

Financial crisis relief - we help comedians pay their bills with everything from cable bills, to insurance premiums to rent
Mental health therapy - through our partnerships with mental health providers, we help comedians find and pay for therapy. From one of our 2023 Grantees, “Dr. —----- is the f*%#ing best person ever. COMEDY GIVES BACK HEALTHNET - CGB just launched CGB Healthnet as an alternative to healthcare. It is a smart based app that meets comedians where they are, either on the road or at home. It is not insurance but it is a step in the right direction in supporting comedians’ health and well-being. We are paying for a year of coverage for 100 comedians but the program is available to everyone in the comedy community.
