Hurricane Helene has devastated Henderson County, leaving widespread destruction in its wake. Our community has faced tremendous losses—homes have been destroyed, businesses disrupted, and lives tragically affected. Among those impacted are the artists, performers, cultural organizations, and small businesses that contribute so much to the vibrancy and spirit of our county.
As the Arts Council of Henderson County (ACofHC), we are committed to supporting the long-term recovery of the entire community. The storm’s impact will be felt for months, if not years, and our goal is to ensure that Henderson County rebuilds stronger, with its creative community playing a central role in that recovery.
Beyond physical damage to homes and businesses, the loss of vital workspaces, resources, and income for many individuals in the creative sector has deepened the strain. This disaster has rippled through every aspect of life here in Henderson County, affecting livelihoods and disrupting the cultural heartbeat of our region.
Your donation will help rebuild the fabric of our community. Funds raised will support long-term recovery efforts, including helping residents restore their lives and local organizations, including those in the creative sector, rebuild and continue their work. Whether it’s replacing lost materials, rebuilding spaces, or supporting individuals who make our community special, your contribution ensures that Henderson County comes back stronger.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact. Thank you for standing with us as we work together to rebuild our community.
