Fin is a sweet young puppy suffering from total body severe skin irritation, painful open wounds on his front legs, and persistent diarrhea. He urgently needs veterinary examination, testing and treatment. Please help us get Fin the medical care he needs to heal and get back to being a puppy.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fin should be worrying about tennis balls and playtime—not hurting himself because he can’t stop itching.

Fin is one of the newest puppies to come into the care of Southern Paws Northern Hearts Animal Rescue, Inc., and this incredibly sweet little boy needs our community’s help.

Fin came to us with significant skin irritation and itching. Despite our efforts to keep him comfortable, the itching has become so severe that he has repeatedly scratched his front legs until he has created large, painful open wounds. He continues trying to scratch the injured areas and has cried from the pain as he reopens them.

We have temporarily protected his legs from further self-injury, but Fin needs veterinary care that we cannot provide ourselves.

He is also experiencing persistent watery diarrhea. Because Fin is a young rescue puppy with an unknown medical history, he needs a veterinary examination and appropriate diagnostic testing to determine what is causing both his skin problems and gastrointestinal symptoms. We don’t want to guess at what is wrong—we want to get him properly examined and treated.

Your donation will help provide Fin with the care his veterinarian determines he needs, which may include:

• Veterinary examination
• Wound evaluation and treatment
• Skin testing and treatment for the severe itching
• Fecal/parasite testing and treatment if indicated
• Medications prescribed by his veterinarian
• Bandaging or other wound-care supplies
• Follow-up veterinary care

Despite everything he’s dealing with, Fin is an incredibly sweet, social puppy. He’s already discovered how much fun it is to play with other dogs and has been happily roughhousing with his new puppy friend Bella. He deserves to be able to run, play and grow up without being consumed by itching and pain. It is clear that this isn’t simply “Fin scraped his legs”—he is suffering from severe whole-body itching that’s causing him to injure himself, and the rescue needs veterinary help to determine why. ❤️‍🩹🐾

Southern Paws Northern Hearts is a small nonprofit rescue working to give dogs like Fin the chance they didn’t have before coming into rescue. Right now, we simply don’t have the available veterinary funds to cover this unexpected medical need without help.

That’s why we’re asking our community to become part of Fin’s rescue story.

$10 helps. $25 helps. $50 helps. Every single donation moves Fin closer to the veterinary care he needs.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing Fin’s campaign is incredibly valuable. One share can put his story in front of the person who is able to help.

Please help us get Fin out of pain and back to doing what a puppy is supposed to do—playing, growing, and discovering how good life can be. ❤️🐾
