Meet Dutton, formerly known as Gresham

Dutton is a gentle and resilient foster pup who came into my care through Grand Strand Golden Retriever Rescue. He has already survived more than most dogs ever will. Despite everything he’s been through, he greets each day with hope — and now he needs our help to live without pain.

Dutton has been diagnosed with a total dislocation of his hip, likely due to being hit by a car, and requires a total hip replacement. Without this surgery, he will continue to suffer from chronic pain and limited mobility. With it, he has the chance to run, play, and enjoy a full, joyful life.

The estimated cost of his surgery, hospitalization, and post-operative care is between $7,500 and $12,000.

A generous private donor has committed $6,000 toward this goal, but the remaining balance exceeds what Grand Strand Golden Retriever Rescue and I can cover.
