All people deserve to eat food that is good for them, and what's better than local?

WNC From the Ground Up works with food pantries across Jackson and surrounding counties to bring fresh, local food to our neighbors. Right now, our funding for pantry food covers fruits and vegetables, and only for some of the pantries we serve.

That leaves a real gap. We want to bring these pantries the foods that make a meal whole: cheese, bread, chicken, beef, pork, and more, grown and made by farmers and producers right here in western North Carolina.

Your gift does two things at once. It puts nourishing, local food on the tables of families who need it, and it keeps those dollars working for the small family farms that feed our community.
