We’re out of room, but the animals are still coming...

At Cottontail Cottage, we give every wild animal a second chance. We do this work free of charge, powered entirely by donations and volunteers. When someone finds a baby rabbit bleeding on a sidewalk or an opossum hit by a car, they call us.

Our 24/7 hotline receives hundreds of calls every month.
We rehabilitate and release more than 500 wild animals each year.
Some are endangered or threatened species that are critical to our environment.

The need is real and it is growing every day.

Right now, we operate out of a basement and a garage.

We have turned every wall, every shelf, every inch of floor into medical and recovery space. During baby season, we hit capacity almost immediately. Trauma cases do not wait. Orphans do not wait.

Space determines how many lives we can save. This is where you come in...

We are actively looking at promising properties to become the home of Cottontail Cottage. A real wildlife rehabilitation center. This means proper medical space, quarantine areas, recovery rooms, public education opportunities and room to grow into the level of care our community already depends on.

But we cannot secure this next chapter without immediate funding.

The spaces we are considering will not sit empty forever. Opportunities like this move quickly. If we do not have the funds ready, we lose them.

And we stay small.

We do not want to turn animals away because we ran out of room.

Your donation helps us secure a rehab center for our region. It helps us increase intake. It helps us prepare for baby season. It helps us protect the wild lives who share our neighborhoods, parks, and backyards.

This is urgent.

The calls are not slowing down. Development is not slowing down. Baby season is not slowing down.

We cannot stay where we are.

Where Your Donation Goes

This fundraiser supports the opening of a dedicated wildlife rehabilitation center in our area. Funds raised may be used to:

• Secure a lease or purchase of land and/or building
• Pay utilities and other essential expenses
• Build out specialized areas such as nurseries, ICU spaces, and animal enclosures

If, for any reason, we are unable to secure a space, raise more money than we need, or have other critical funding needs, all or some of the raised funds may be redirected to continue supporting our mission.

This may include, but it not limited to:

• Securing a future property or alternative location
• Supporting ongoing rescue, medical care, and rehabilitation efforts including expenses related to rehab operating expenses
