Earlier this week, we shared one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to make: Kiowa’s House was preparing to close its doors.

What happened next reminded us why we started.

Over the following days, we received an incredible outpouring of love from our community. Messages telling us we are needed. The animals are needed. This rescue matters. Stories from adopters, fosters, volunteers, and supporters reminded us just how many lives Kiowa’s House has touched.

So we listened.

We don’t want to give up. But we cannot do this alone.

We have gone through our expenses and determined the number we need each month to comfortably sustain Kiowa’s House and continue caring for the animals who depend on us:

That is the number that keeps food in their bowls, provides daily care, maintains the sanctuary, compensates the people who care for these animals every day, and gives Kiowa’s House the stability it needs to remain open.
