Every day, our students spend time learning, playing, exploring, and growing outside. Our campus is not just a place with classrooms. It is a place with playgrounds, gardens, animals, trees, and outdoor spaces that are part of the children’s daily experience.

But one of the systems that helps keep those outdoor spaces healthy has reached the point where it needs serious attention.

Our school’s irrigation system has been neglected for far too long. What may have started as small repairs has grown into a much larger project. Broken lines, root damage, aging valves, controller issues, and water access concerns have made the system unreliable. We have done what we can, but the project has now exceeded what we are able to repair ourselves.

To properly restore the system and make it reliable for years to come, the estimated cost is $10,000.

This is why we are launching a fundraiser to help repair, rebuild, and improve the irrigation system across campus.

The project will happen in three major phases.

Phase 1: Main System Repairs and Well Support

The first phase focuses on the heart of the system. This includes repairing and overhauling the irrigation controller, valves, and other key components. It also includes lowering the pump an additional 20 feet into the well to improve water access and reliability.

Phase 2: Irrigation Line Repairs and Rerouting

The second phase addresses the damaged irrigation lines throughout the campus. In areas where tree roots or other issues have broken or compromised the lines, the system will be repaired or rerouted so that it can function dependably again.

Phase 3: Rebuilding High-Use Areas

The third phase focuses on the areas our students and families experience most: the front of the school and the playgrounds.

The playground is our top priority, but unfortunately, it also appears to be the most damaged area. In some places, the irrigation will need to be almost completely rebuilt from scratch. These are some of the most-used spaces on campus, and restoring them will help keep our school grounds healthier, safer, and more welcoming for the children.

Our goal is not just to fix pipes and valves. Our goal is to care for the environment our students enjoy every day.

Healthy grass, shaded play areas, gardens, and inviting outdoor spaces all contribute to the life of the school. They help create a campus where children can run, play, work, explore, and feel at home.

Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to restoring a reliable irrigation system. If we raise more than is needed for the irrigation work, any additional funds will go toward sod and other outdoor improvements that directly benefit the students.

We will continue improving the aesthetics of the parking lot and other areas as time and resources allow, slow and steady. But as always, the classrooms and playground come first.
