This week, we are faced with a case that truly reflects the heart of our mission—stepping in to save a dog in desperate need when no one else can or will.

A shelter recently reached out to us about Nala. She was found trapped in a drainage ditch, terrified and in heartbreaking condition. No one knows how long she was there, but it was long enough for her to suffer significant injuries and neglect. Due to the severity of her medical condition, the shelter has struggled to find a rescue willing to take her in. Without a commitment by Friday, Nala will be euthanized.

We want to change her story.

We want to bring Nala into our care and give her the chance at the healthy, happy life she deserves—but we cannot do it without your help. Nala requires extensive medical treatment, including care for deep wounds, ongoing medicated baths for her skin issues, x-rays, spay surgery, vaccinations, and any additional treatment she may need once she arrives.

It’s clear that at some point, Nala had an owner—someone who ultimately abandoned her. Despite everything she has endured, she remains incredibly sweet and loving. She deserves compassion, safety, and a second chance.

We are launching an urgent fundraiser for Nala’s medical care. Our goal is to raise $3,000 by Friday so we can commit to bringing her into our rescue and begin her treatment immediately.
