Ketamine is an FDA approved anesthesia drug that has been found to have other life saving uses. Ketamine is the only drug that can stop suicidal ideation within one to two doses. It can help Major Depression, TRD, PTSD, OCD, and anxiety when all other treatments have failed.

It is also one of the best Treatments for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, (CRPS). The nickname for this horrible disease is, the suicide disease, because it is so very painful and so hard to treat. CRPS is usually caused after an injury to a limb and it spreads from the initial site of involvement throughout the whole body.

Ketamine is currently the only drug that has been seen to slow or even stop the spread of this awful disease. The Ketamine Taskforce is working hard to improve access to Ketamine for all those who need it. Since the FDA has currently only approved Ketamine for anesthesia, insurance companies and the VA don’t want to pay for treatments for mental health if chronic pain. We are fighting to get insurance companies and the VA to cover infusions so everyone will be able to afford care.
