Story
Chikki Story:
When the tiny Chikki was found at two months old with an infected shoulder, she was still searching for her mother and had just weaned. Stray Animal Foundation of India provided vet care, and Chikki gradually recovered after amputation surgery.
Chikki has not been deemed a desirable pup due to her breed, leaving her with no adoption interest. Many people consider her breed a curse but Kshitija saw beyond this and noticed something special in the pup; she chose to take Chikki into her home and provide her an adoptive family. Despite what people thought of Chikki's breed and tripod, Kshitija believed there was more to her than meets the eye.
Chikki traveled to America to unite with his owner Kshitija - but she needs help covering the costs of international traveling. The cost is far more than Kshitija or our rescue organization can pay, so we are asking for your assistance in donating any amount you can spare. Upon landing in Miami CDC ordered a blood test and leishmaniosis tests to confirm her ear notch is not contagious. The results came out negative. But we incurred $2250 additional costs over what we have raised.
