Dear Friends,

When it rains, it pours. Just five days ago, we welcomed Dotty, a sweet three-month-old puppy, into our care. She and her brother, Stewie, were at risk of being euthanized at the Lancaster shelter because they tested positive for Giardia. Just when we thought we could help them start a new life, tragedy struck. Last night, we rushed Dotty to the emergency vet, fearing she might have contracted Parvo, and, unfortunately, our worst fears were confirmed—she tested positive. 😰

After a sleepless night filled with worry, we learned that the hospitalization and emergency treatment for Dotty within the first 24 hours will cost an astonishing $5,000. This initial amount is just the beginning, as we anticipate that Dotty will likely need to be hospitalized for the next week. We are truly struggling to meet these costs. This situation is catastrophic for our rescue, as we are at an all-time low on donations while still caring for 48 dogs. 🙏

We know our loving and caring community is here to support our rescues, and we humbly ask for your help during this critical time. While we focus on Dotty’s care, we are also facing uncertainty with Stewie. We are preparing to have him tested this morning, and we hope and pray he can avoid this vicious virus.
