Training scholarship for rescue dogs

We Train. They Gain. You Can Help.

The Dogs Without Borders Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of rescue dogs in Central Mexico and Central Texas. Our mission begins on the streets of San Miguel de Allende, where we sponsor free spay-neuter clinics and rescue puppies in need of urgent medical care and safe foster homes.

But rescue is just the beginning.

In Austin, Texas, we focus on the next critical step: training. Many rescued dogs—especially those who have lived on the streets—need guidance to become confident, adoptable companions. That’s why we fund board-and-train scholarships for shelter dogs.

Each 3-week training program costs $4,000 per dog.
With your help, we can prepare more dogs for successful adoptions and lifelong homes.

Why training matters:

  • Trained dogs are more likely to be adopted and stay in homes.

  • Training helps reduce fear, aggression, and unwanted behaviors.

  • It builds confidence—especially in shy or traumatized dogs.

  • It strengthens the bond between dog and human.

  • It sets dogs up for success, safety, and happiness.

Your support will directly fund professional training for dogs who deserve a second chance at life. Whether it’s learning basic commands, walking politely on a leash, or simply gaining the trust to love again—training opens the door to a better future.

If you’ve ever seen the difference a little structure and love can make in a dog’s life, you know: this matters.

Help us train them for the lives they were meant to live.
Every donation brings us closer to giving another dog the tools they need—and the home they deserve.

Thank you for believing in second chances.
