All proceeds go to Military Missions in Action, Homes for Healing Program.

Through this program Military Missions In Action provides household goods and new or gently-used furniture to formerly unhoused Veterans and their families. Washer and Dryer machines are in demand. Average cost to provide a washer and dryer to a home is $1,000.

Last year, Military Missions In Action delivered home furnishings to 115 veterans and their families, travelling 14,081.75 miles across North Carolina. Our volunteers racked up 814 hours moving 1,636 pieces of furniture valued in excess of $200,000. Help us help our nation's heroes while also giving a second life to gently used home furnishings, reducing the amount of furniture going to landfills.

Silence & Light

Silence & Light is a modern hard rock band based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. With the recent release of their sophomore album, “Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda…”, Silence & Light has developed a unique-but-familiar sound that is a blend between early 90’s grunge and modern hard rock - with huge guitar tones and aggressive, melodic vocals and lyrics that are relatable to every listener. As military veterans, the band members share a special bond and use their platform to raise awareness for mental health struggles that affect so many. Silence & light believe in promoting a universal message through their music to encourage the pursuit of creative means to find purpose for anyone who feels lost or stuck in a fast-paced, disconnected world.

Hyperloops

Hyperloops are a three-piece alternative rock band out of Wilmington, North Carolina. They draw influences from garage, psychedelic, and jam rock. They have released three full length albums, played hundreds of shows throughout the East Coast, and have been making music since 2018. Their biggest influences are King Gizzard, Ween, Vulfpeck and Primus.

Drum for Change

GREG WHITT facilitates workshops and retreats designed to connect people to one another and to the world around them. He is an award-winning teaching artist and edutainer. He has received four competitive professional development grants from the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County.He spent eight years in the US Air Force as both police officer and paralegal, then worked ten more in higher education at NC State University. Greg has been leading facilitated interactive rhythm experiences since 2002. He founded the still-strong Raleigh Drum Circle community group then, and launched Drum for Change as a full-time business in 2009.

Military Missions In Action

Military Missions In Action is a North Carolina-founded and focused veteran non-profit dedicated to assisting veterans in need, members of all Armed Forces, and their loving supporting families. For the last 15 years, MMIA has provided support through three programs: Home For Healing, which provides new and gently used household furnishings and goods to assist veterans, active-duty servicemembers, and families in need of establishing housing stability; Operation Building Hope, which provides creative home modification services and emergency repairs to ensure that veterans and their family members with disabilities can remain living independently; and Fill The Footlocker, which provides support to forward deployed service members and military working dog teams by a touch of home through carefully crafted care packages. Fill The Footlocker also packs and delivers health, hygiene, and sundry items, along with clothing, shoes, and blankets, to unhoused veterans through our unhoused veterans stand-down backpacks. Also, through Fill The Footlocker, we provide the children of active-duty military and veterans in need with new toys, gifts, and clothing at Christmas time.

Since 2008, we’ve directly assisted over 130,000 veterans and their families, and we do so by sending 90% of all donations directly to support our programming. We’re able to run a lean and efficient organization thanks to a dedicated team of committed volunteers.

Military Missions In Action is a registered 501(c)3 organization and a Gold GuideStar nonprofit headquartered in Fuquay-Varina, NC, with an additional location in the Southern Pines area, which provides services for all 100 counties in the state.
