Alexus’s Room

Alexus was diagnosed with SMA at the age of 2. She grew up in Franklinville, New Jersey as a bubbly kid. She loved to draw, hang out with friends, visit restaurants and be a typical girl. In 2014 she contracted Rhinos disease which essentially killed her, as she was brought back to life to through resuscitation. Because of this, she lost most of her ability. Over the years her health has declined physically, but she has mentally stayed strong. She can no longer get into her wheelchair, and therefore stays in the her room 24/7.

She has been in CHOP since december 13th, and is finally being released soon after another hard health battle. She is undergoing some more physical changes, but we know she will pull through. Her family has faced many hardships, including medical bills, their medical shed burning down, basement flooding, and falling behind financially.

Alexus deserves to have a room that she can be motivated and inspired by and we need your help to attain that. We have a plan to recarpet, and install/ build a completely accessible shelving unit.  We cannot do this without you.
