Members of Local 2110 UAW at the Hispanic Society of America are going on strike on Monday, March 27, 2023. Workers are fighting to prevent cuts to their health benefits, creation of a two-tier system, and subcontracting of bargaining unit work. During the strike, the museum has a right to cut strikers' pay. Your donation to the hardship fund means that workers can continue their fight for a fair contract.

Federal law prohibits the UAW from asking for or taking money, or anything of value, from any employer that it collectively bargains with. UAW is also prohibited from asking for or taking money, or anything of value, from any employer it could collectively bargain with.

You MAY NOT contribute to this fundraising drive, and UAW will NOT accept contributions from you, if:

• You work for an employer in an executive position, or as a labor relations expert, advisor, or consultant.

AND

• UAW is the authorized bargaining representative of your employer’s employees, or
• UAW has a collective bargaining agreement with your employer, or
• Your employer is the subject of an actual or planned organizing drive by the UAW, or
• Your employer is engaged in an industry or line of business which the UAW has traditionally represented, or tried to represent, or would admit to its membership.
