SUPPORT THE PLACER LGBTQ+ CENTER ON GIVING TUESDAY 2024

2024 has been a year of growth, struggle, and heartbreak.  In 2025 we will continue our work to:

• Advocate for LGBTQ+ youth and families in our area schools and communities

• Create opportunities for educating ourselves and others

• Grow our successful annual Placer Pride celebration

• Create additional opportunities and spaces for gathering and supporting community

• Raise funds to purchase or lease a much needed building/space(s) where LGBTQ+ members of our community and  their families can safely gather to build community, and access resources and support 

Imagine….  A place right here in Placer County where LGBTQ+ folks and families have access to:

• Support groups for youth, young adults, adults, parents/friends/family, seniors 

• Mental and physical health resources 

• A clothes closet, emergency housing, and food resources

• Legal resources and clinics 

• Community-building social events and programs for different age groups, such as: chat and coffee hours, craft nights, poetry readings/sharing, book clubs, musical, dance, and theatrical performances, gallery-style showcases for queer artists, mixers for seniors and other age groups, and more…

• Learning labs such as: 

  • Job skills training (and listings)

  • Advocacy and leadership skills

  • Gardening

  • Cooking

  • Basic bicycle/car maintenance
