Hartford Lending Hands Inc. is a Connecticut-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing year-round support to families facing food insecurity and financial crisis.

Through our programs, we support families across Connecticut with:

• Community Closet Pantry (food, clothing, and household essentials)

• Hardship Assistance (urgent rent, utility shut-off, and security deposit support — when funding is available)

• Annual Christmas Help Program (holiday support for families and children)

Why Your Donation Matters

Hartford Lending Hands operates out of our home to keep overhead low — but families rely on us every week. Your donation helps us remain responsive, consistent, and available when families need help the most.

What Your Donation Supports

• $10 helps stock pantry essentials (toiletries, hygiene items, cleaning products)

• $25 supports one family with basic food + household supplies

• $50 helps replenish high-need pantry items and emergency essentials

• $100 helps sustain weekly pantry operations and outreach

• $250+ helps fund hardship relief when families face eviction or utility shut-offs

Hardship Funding Need (Important)

We currently receive a high volume of hardship requests, but the Hardship Program is limited by available funding. Donations help us rebuild and respond to urgent community needs as funds become available.
