Participate in morning and/or afternoon sessions focused on making art in memory and recollection of lost loved ones. Explore art-making as a way to express bereavement. Both sessions close with a brief amount of sharing of art creations.
During the morning session, we will make memorial charms and pins with fabric, beads, glue guns, and safety pins. Additionally, create a basic personalized journal that contains important text and images. Utilize a simple notebook along with stickers, collages, and markers.
When the afternoon opens, we will make beaded bracelets with memory wire containing colors and words that honor our loved ones. Using T-shirts provided by participants, create individualized memorial shirts with fabric and hand-stitched embellishments that represent and recall lost loved ones.
Loving relationships continue after death and we can use our imaginations to support our mourning and remembrance.
