Foundation for HLNY Fund

The Foundation for Healthcare Leaders of New York was established in 2021 to create sustainable funding for healthcare leadership development through scholarships and educational opportunities. With support from Healthcare Leaders of New York and our major donors, over 50 scholarships have been awarded to promising healthcare leaders.

The Foundation exists solely through the generous contributions of healthcare leaders, industry partners, and dedicated professionals committed to excellence in healthcare leadership.

Our scholarships provide crucial support to promising healthcare leaders who might otherwise lack access to the resources, education, and networking opportunities necessary to advance in their careers.

The Foundation for Healthcare Leaders of New York is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Our Scholarships: 

• Arthur & Sharon Gianelli ACHE Congress Scholarship:
  $2,500 awarded to an Early Careerist (Member/Fellow under 40) which provides funding for one early careerist to attend the ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership in the following year. The awardee will also receive a mentoring session with Arthur A. Gianelli, FACHE, during the Congress.
• Leonard Achan Sr. Health Equity Scholarship:
  $1,500 awarded to up to 3 graduate students with diverse backgrounds exemplifying a commitment to the betterment of the healthcare ecosystem, so they can one day “paying it forward”. This scholarship promotes health equity and the need for raising and guiding future leaders committed to changing the healthcare equity landscape in New York.
• Sganga Family Scholarship for Early Careerist:
  $5000 awarded to 2 Early Careerist (Member/Fellow under 40) who recently completed a healthcare degree and are paying off student loans. The program recognizes student loan debt obligations can be barriers to career progression and professional development.
