ANIMAL LOVERS

"Animals are not always man’s best friend"

Tap Dance Productions/Random Road Films is honored to have The Center for Arts and Learning fiscally sponsor our Proof of Concept (POC) short film - designed as a teaser for our new dark comedy series: ANIMAL LOVERS - we're pitching to streaming companies. This donation page is for those who would like to support our film and powerful message against the inhumane treatment of animals and...

your generous donations will go towards: cast & crew, travel/lodging, transportation, equipment, production, insurance, locations & post-production.

ANIMAL LOVERS adds a little FARGO, OZARK and UNFORGIVEN to deliver a story with heart and awareness to animal cruelty when two animal lovers plot a pooch's revenge and become targets of a sinister operation. Never was this more perfectly illustrated than at the 1963 Bronx Zoo exhibit where they set up a mirror for people to look into with only one sentence above the mirror "The most dangerous animal in the world".

As the creators/writers of this original series, we are thrilled to announce acclaimed actor, Jake Short will star in our film. Jake has recently been featured in Apple TV + series LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY as well as starring in feature films: SEX APPEAL and SUPERCOOL among many other popular films & series including CBS's, DEXTER & BBC Studios, THE FIRST TEAM. Jake's comedic talents and broad appeal brings the perfect combination.

Our team is already in pre-production and we start filming in early 2026 with screenwriter/producer, Gina Suzanne Renzi as director & co-writer/producer, Jude Hawkens as cinematographer along with our dedicated & talented cast and crew.
