Join Skokie Valley Rotary Club at the Hope Walk for Homelessness

Lace up your sneakers and walk with us! The Hope Walk for Homelessness 5K returns to beautiful Gillson Park in Wilmette on Sunday, May 9, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM near the Wallace Bowl.

The Hope Walk is a collaborative event co-hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Wilmette, Winnetka-Northfield, Evanston Lighthouse, and Skokie Valley. The scenic route winds through the lakefront park, finishing back at the Wallace Bowl for refreshments and announcements. Registration is $40 per person, $100 for a family, and $20 for students. Leashed dogs are welcome!

The Skokie Valley Rotary Club is proud to walk in support of our own community, with proceeds from our team going directly to the Niles Township Respite Center in Skokie.

The Niles Township Respite Center is the only program exclusively serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness in our township. Open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, the Center offers a safe and welcoming space for individuals to rest, enjoy hot meals, receive hygiene supplies, utilize shower and laundry facilities, and access storage lockers, all while connecting with staff who can help identify longer-term resources.
