One of our partners in Uganda, Kyampisi Childcare Ministries (KCM), rescues and rehabilitates children who are victims of child sacrifice. One such child is Hope. At the age of one, Hope was abducted and given to a witch doctor, who held her captive in his shrine for a year and a half. She endured severe torture and abuse during this time, leaving her body permanently mutilated. Eventually, her abuser placed her in a sack and threw her into a swamp, where she was later rescued by KCM.

Now, over 10 years later, Hope is in Utah, working with medical teams to hopefully receive life-changing surgery. One of the challenges she currently faces in preparing for surgery is nutrition, as her mutilated body has caused her digestive organs to function improperly. Her current nutritional status is not conducive to surgery. Hope now has an NG feeding tube and is in need of donations to cover the costs of the nutritional formula.
