I lost my husband to cancer in 2014. I was introduced to Soaring Spirits International in March of 2017 when I attended Camp Widow for the first time. I was so overwhelmed by the love, support, and dedication of this organization, run by widowed people for widowed people. They give so much of themselves to help other widowed people in the community. I felt drawn to get involved and volunteered to be the Regional Group Leader for the Raleigh, NC area.   

Now, almost 4 years later, we have a thriving regional group and my life has changed in wonderful and unexpected ways. I am proud to be part of SSI and hope you will consider donating to help us continue to support our widowed community and make sure they know that no one has to walk this difficult path alone.
