The Problem
Too many people don’t recognize what human trafficking really looks like.
In our earliest days, during rescue efforts, we met disbelief and denial. Some thought trafficking only happened overseas or looked like something from a movie.
But the truth?
It hides in plain sight; in our schools, churches, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
This lack of awareness delays help. It prolongs suffering.
That’s why HopeWorks Global was born, to end the silence and equip communities to protect and prevent.
Why This Mission Is Personal
Our founder, Linda Aluoch, grew up in Kitui, Kenya, marked by poverty, domestic violence, and daily survival.
She still bears the scars:
- A burn from a fight over food
- A wound from walking in broken shoes
- And the deepest: the loss of a loved one to trafficking, silenced and forgotten
Linda turned pain into purpose.
HopeWorks Global is her promise that no one else has to suffer in silence.
