Help us to advocate for the Housing First model to be fully adopted by Oneida County to address the inhumane conditions of people who are unable overcome the barriers to housing and shelter. Spend 24 hours on the streets of Utica with Pastor Mike living as an unhoused person depending only on your wits and the good will of others for food, shelter, money, and bathroom facilities. We are inviting two people every Friday night starting July 22 through September30th. For safety purposes, we ask women to participate with a trusted partner. How do I do this?

#1 REGISTER Experience 24 hours living on the streets of Utica NY. Register for #housednothidd by clicking on the register/donate button to get a ticket for $100 and we will supply the book, Under the Overpass and a t-shirt. Choose the 24 hour time period you want. We ask women to come with a trusted partner for safety.

#2 INVITE FORM A TEAM and invite family and friends from across the country and throughout the world to join you as you raise awareness about people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Utica. Don't forget to customize your team page and share your fundraising page on social media. #housednothidden

#3 GO FOR IT show up at Cornerstone Church , 6:45 pm on your day. 500 Plant St Time for the event is 7pm to 7pm
Park in our parking lot on Plant St.
Personal items can be locked up in our office. Have a safe way to carry your phone
Clothing for the 24 hours will be chosen from our closet
Experience many of the challenges of people on the street as you complete tasks to find food and water, safe places to rest and sleep, and other things to survive. All necessities will depend on the kindness of others.

#4 POST AND SHARE Let the experience expand your perceptions. Take before and after pictures. Do a FB live to talk about how it is going. Share your pictures on social media with #housednothidden. #5 PRIZES Let's have a friendly competition. You can compete as a team or separately as an individual. There will be prizes for the most funds raised in both categories, for the number of participants in your team, for the largest number of donors, and other categories. We will also have a general drawing. Prizes will be announced at our workshop. Gift certificates, apparel, and other items are offered.
