The How to Be A Local’s simple goal: to help new people plug in to the community more quickly, to appreciate and understand local businesses and share fun, informational tips to promote arts, community and economic vibrancy.

It's a class-discussion style workshop, focused on the basics of local history, unique aspects of Williamsburg, and some tips for navigating downtown. Content for the class will be customized based on the participants’ interests and they will each make a checklist of what they would like to do this year. The goal is to help new residents familiarize themselves with the area, meet some new people and begin to find ways to engage downtown, with events, businesses and people.
