March 3 is National Soup It Forward Day—and this year, we need our board fully engaged. Demand is rising, the need is real, and sustaining our work requires every one of us to act now.

To put things in perspective, according to the Food Bank for New York City:

The average meal cost in Queens is $3.91
The New York State average is $3.38
The national average is $3.58
And the food budget shortfall in Queens County is over $243 million

This is the reality our neighbors face. We know what's at stake. Families rely on us, and the community counts on us. Our programs help fill critical gaps where too many families are forced to make impossible choices.

To keep The United Methodist Center in Far Rockaway strong, we need the resources to match the need.
