Why water?

The human body is 60% water. In combat or under extreme stress, people need even more to stay alive and alert — up to a gallon (3.7 liters) per day.

Ukrainian defenders often go weeks or months without rest, in hot summer conditions, far from stable water supplies. Clean water helps prevent dehydration, fatigue, illness, and heatstroke — it keeps them in the fight.

Civilians are suffering too. Bombings and drone strikes have destroyed water infrastructure, polluted rivers, and left many without reliable access to clean water.

Results so far:

As of spring 2025, we provided Ukrainians with 1,677 water related devices, including more than 1000 camelbacks and more than 500 water filters. However, the need for access to clean water is much greater than that, especially during the hot summer month. How will supplies get to Ukraine?

We know how to get water filters and camelbacks to Ukrainian recipients as efficiently as possible, by avoiding many possible logistical pitfalls. The water filters are bought in Germany and delivered to our team members in Poland. The camelbacks inserts are purchased in China, where they are combined by our team members with high-quality army-grade camelback backpacks purchased directly from the manufacturers USA. From western Ukraine, the camelbacks are distributed to soldiers that are about to be deployed from the training centers to the battlefields, while other are delivered by Nova Poshta postal service that still operates in the near-front-line towns, or carried the front lines in the hottest war zones by minivans carrying other humanitarian aid, or. We remain effective due to our small size, multinational team, and direct on-site contacts that we developed in 2014-2015 and adopted to the new realities of the full-scale invasion starting 2022.
