Shaunna Jacobs' Story
When I first walked through the doors of the women's sober house, I was broken, lost, and desperate for a chance at a new beginning. I had hit rock bottom and my addiction had taken over my life. But as soon as I entered that house, I felt a sense of hope and support that I had never experienced before.
The women in the house welcomed me with open arms, sharing their own stories of struggle and triumph. They showed me that recovery was possible, that I was not alone in my battle against addiction. They became my family, my support system, and my motivation to keep fighting for sobriety.
Today, I am proud to say that I am a success story with over 6 years of recovery from any mood or mind altering substance. I am a living proof of the power of community, compassion, and resilience. I am forever and humbly grateful to Scarborough House, the women's sober house that took me in and gave me a chance to rebuild my life.
