Farm Tools & Fencing for Homestead Montessori

We did it! With your help we were able to raise the money for the land behind the school!  We should have the deed by the end of January! Our next need is a gas powered wood chipper and fencing for the land on the west side. Please help us out! We will keep you updated on the progress.

We are asking for your help! No gift is too small. $5 and $10 gifts add up! Homestead Montessori has a great opportunity to buy almost two acres behind the school. We need $5000 for the land by November 15th and $5000 for improvements (fencing, trail clearing, plants, etc.) by November 20th.  For the last 10 years we have cleaned, cared for, hiked and explored this land. Now we have the opportunity to own it and do what we'd really like to do. We want to plant fruit trees and local native plants along our hiking trails. We want to encourage edible mushrooms, blackberries, mullein and other beneficial herbs and plants in the wild. Please join us to continue the work we have done for the last 6 years in educating children using nature as the backdrop to instill the love of the outdoors.
