6 Dollar Saturday for Pancha

Pancha was just a baby; born with a crooked foot, she moved slowly and got relentlessly picked on by the other turkeys and chickens.  The owners said, "well, we should just let nature take its course." Their relative, visiting and temporarily graced with the role of turkey guardian angel, couldn't stand her screams and the sight of her wounds. She spoke up, and the owners said, "all right fine, if it upsets you so much, we'll just chop off her head."  That was when she loaded Pancha into her car and drove many hours to our sanctuary.
