The Lumberyard Arts Center is the cornerstone for creative endeavors in Baldwin City, KS. A 501(c) 3 nonprofit, our mission is accomplished with a 12 member board of directors, one full time director and approximately 15 dedicated volunteers. We offer arts classes for all ages, rotating gallery exhibits, live local music programming, a community mural program, community theatre programming and a boutique featuring the work of Douglas County artists.

Our story is grounded in grassroots sweat equity embracing the belief that the arts are essential for a vibrant, healthy community where everyone belongs. We are located in the heart of the Baldwin City entertainment district, adjacent to Sullivan Square with nearby restaurants and bars. A creative arts complex, we strive to create - play - innovate with our community.
