My name is Zelda, and I've been accepted as a student to Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival (LSM).

I am a sophomore at Fullerton Union High School where I am involved in the choir program, who has performed at festivals and Segerstrom Center for the Arts, as well as different showcases throughout the school year. I am also a section leader for the Southern California Children’s Chorus, who performs with Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony often. I have been in performances of La Boheme (where I was a soloist), Nutcracker, and Pacific Chorale’s Tis the Season concert, where my choir performs with the Chorale and Symphony. I also have been taking piano lessons since I was 4, completed 8 levels of Certificate of Merit with state honors every level and convention eligibility for three of the levels, and have been invited to perform at a Steinway luncheon, as well as other smaller performances and recitals.

My goal for the future is to get my doctorate in Music Education, as well as teaching piano lessons and possibly pursuing a professional career in singing. I want to attend LSM to further enhance my musical ability and challenge myself to be a stronger musician. My programs at school and outside of school are fantastic, but LSM can help challenge me in ways my current programs do not. I am fundraising for this program because I believe this is an opportunity of a lifetime for someone like me who wants to pursue music later in my life. Thank you for your generous support.

Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival (LSM) is the nation’s premier faith-based music academy for high school students. In addition to advanced musical instruction and numerous performance opportunities, LSM students form an intentional community, living together for four weeks on a Lutheran college campus.
