I Am A Child of God Inc.

I Am A Child of God Inc. is a Baltimore City-based 501(c)3 non-profit established in 2020. Our organization is geared toward middle and high-school-age youth with the mission to help our youth develop tools to discover who they are and how to use their gifts and talents to flourish authentically into who God has called them to be. We center on self-awareness, mental and emotional intelligence, safe and healthy relationships and environments, and postsecondary education.

We currently host Safe Haven Saturdays, which meets three Saturdays monthly to provide a safe space for teens to be seen, heard, and accepted. One Saturday each month, we have a mental health counselor in attendance. They present an interactive lesson on mental or emotional intelligence with our youth. Our Safe Haven Saturdays consist of a family dinner, a lesson from our curriculum, and free time which can include games and activities. Safe Haven Retreats were birthed out of Safe Haven Saturdays which are weekend retreats to Pennsylvania where we will take the youth of Baltimore outside of their environment and expose them to something new. We will continue to help our youth develop tools to discover who they are, but at a place that is free from distractions. They will be able to focus solely on themselves and be able to heal, learn, and grow individually.

We also established our Wynter Pitts Scholarship Program which awards a scholarship to a young lady who is a rising high school senior pursuing a post-secondary education degree or accreditation.Throughout the school year, we also attend quarterly college tours at campuses around the area to help our youth gain knowledge about furthering their education after high school.

We envision a Baltimore where our next generation of youth will exude the confidence to be world changers and will be able to teach and inspire others to do the same. Thank you so much for your support!
